Auckland Rotary Charity Fundraising Gala 筝乐工作室受邀奥克兰扶轮社慈善筹款晚宴

On the evening of March 1 st, 2025, the Auckland Rotary Charity Fundraising Gala was grandly held at Harbour Grand Restaurant in the city centre. Distinguished guests in attendance included the gala’s founders Donald & Jennie Sew Hoy, Rotary President Ashwini Sadhu, and Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown, all of whom delivered speeches. They praised the event’s long-standing contributions to charitable causes in New Zealand communities and extended New Year greetings to all attendees.

This year’s gala highlighted both charity and cultural exchange, featuring a rich and diverse programme in a warm and lively atmosphere. Lei Chenyi, an outstanding member of Boya Guzheng, presented a guzheng solo performance that brought a strong sense of Chinese musical heritage to the evening. Her performances of Dance of the Golden Snake and Harvest Festival Drums and Gongs were vibrant and rhythmically lively, showcasing the expressive power of the guzheng while conveying festive New Year wishes. Her performance was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience.

The evening also featured performances including lion dance, female vocal solo, and Sichuan opera face-changing, along with a charity auction and raffle, all of which received an enthusiastic response. All funds raised will be donated to local Auckland charities, continuing to support community development and public welfare initiatives.

Zheng’s Music Studio remains committed to promoting the beauty of traditional Chinese music overseas and actively participates in cultural and charitable events. Through this Rotary charity gala, the studio shared warmth and blessings through music, contributing its artistic strength to charitable causes.

晚宴还包括舞狮、女声独唱、川剧变脸等精彩演出，并设有慈善拍卖与抽奖环节，现场反响热烈。所有善款将捐赠予奥克兰本地慈善机构，继续支持社区发展与公益事业。
