Di Liu Wins Double Gold Awards 刘迪斩获双项金奖
At the 2025 Performing Arts Competition at Conwell Park District School, Liu Di won First Place in the Cultural Category for her guzheng performance and was also awarded the Overall Gold Prize across all categories. With a performance that was both poised and expressive, she stood out among many competitors, demonstrating strong technical proficiency and compelling stage presence.
Liu Di, aged 11, has been studying guzheng under the guidance of Zheng Lin since 2021. In 2025, she successfully passed Grade 8 of the Chinese Nationalities Orchestra Society examinations with outstanding results. Over the years, Liu Di has remained active across a wide range of musical and cultural stages. She has participated in the “Huayue Zhengming” Annual Concert for five consecutive years and has performed at major events including the New Zealand Harp Festival, Choral Festival, Chinese New Year celebrations, Auckland Lantern Festival, and Chinese Cultural Festival. She also performed in the Guzheng Studio’s featured concert at St George’s Anglican Church in Thames.
On 5 February 2026, she performed with Zheng’s Music Studio at the “Warm Spring Welcome · Celebrating the Chinese New Year Together” reception hosted by the Chinese Consulate-General in Auckland, with excerpts of the performance later broadcast on CCTV-4.
Liu Di is also actively involved in community cultural engagement, having performed at venues such as Avondale Library, Pakuranga Library, and Parkside Rest Home. Her arranged and performed guzheng solo “Staying Together” was met with great success at its premiere. In 2022, her performance of “Sheng Sheng Man”, arranged by Zheng Lin, received wide acclaim in the “Play the Same Piece Together” competition organised by the CCTV “Fenghua Guoyue” programme.
In addition, she has been invited multiple times to perform at school and community events, including Cornwall Park District School Chinese Culture Week, Chinese New Year cultural celebrations, and the Mid-Autumn Festival Galas at St Cuthbert’s College in 2024 and 2025. Through her music, she continues to deepen understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture both within schools and the wider community.

刘迪,11岁,自2021年起师从郑琳老师学习古筝。2025年,她以优异成绩通过中国民族管弦乐协会古筝八级考试。多年来,刘迪持续活跃于各类音乐与文化舞台,连续五年参与“华乐筝鸣”年度音乐会,并在新西兰竖琴艺术节、合唱音乐节、中国农历新年庆祝活动、奥克兰元宵灯节、中国民族文化节等重要场合演出。她亦参与筝乐工作室在泰晤士 St George’s Anglican Church 举办的古筝专场音乐会。2026年2月5日,随新西兰筝乐工作室受邀参加中国驻奥克兰总领馆“温暖迎春 · 共庆中国年”春节招待会演出,演出片段并在 CCTV-4 播出。
刘迪热心参与社区文化交流,曾在 Avondale 图书馆、Pakuranga 图书馆及 Parkside 养老院等地演出。由她改编并演奏的古筝独奏《相守》首演即获圆满成功。2022年,她演奏郑琳老师改编的古筝重奏《声声慢》,在央视频风华国乐组举办的“同奏一曲”比赛中赢得广泛好评。此外,她多次受邀在 Cornwall Park District School 中国文化周、中国新年文化活动以及 St Cuthbert’s College 2024、2025 年中秋联欢晚会上演出,通过音乐不断加深校园内外对中华文化的理解与欣赏。
